Got No Time 03:05
GOT NO TIME (FOR YOUR PRIDE) Words & Music by Scott Riley You think you've got the right to judge what I do And judge whomever I see you think it's all about you I don't need your approval as much as you think I do Lately I've come to realise there's more to life than you I've got no time for your pride When so much else is always swept aside You're one of these people when your case isn't strong Who just decides things are unimportant you can't admit when you're wrong Now I'm finally a wake up to see things as they are There'll be no turning back now you pushed it way to far I've got no time...etc. Oh it's never your problem it's someone else again So if I can't have resolution baby just give me closure I'm not completely useless I have my moments and days But under appreciation is all that came my way I sometimes wonder how it came to be That we were somehow connected just bewilders me I've got no time...etc. I've got no time for you pride When you've never been one to come to my side

about

Suburban Urchins, power pop veterans from Melbourne (via Hobart), Australia, have been busy despite lockdown after lockdown, to continue the standard set by their debut album Born In The Suburbs. Now Ernie and Scott - with Pete back on board - are ready to release an EP containing four new tracks as a prelude to their sophomore album. The EP is called Zed Girl and contains the title track (a slice of glam pop), Just Another Guy (a slice of post punk), Got No Time (a slice of garage pop) and a '90s club remix of Zed Girl. Lyrical themes range from being judged, to courting the one, to having had enough. The package will also include artwork and lyrics via digital download.

"If Elvis Costello, The Sex Pistols and Badfinger had a baby, it would sound like this!” – Ash Naylor, Even

“It’s great to hear a band that’s has that post punk 80’s Melbourne sound and to carry the influences on their sleeves, I can’t wait to hear what Suburban Urchins do next and maybe they’ll ask me to do their album cover." - Josh Lord, Artist

"Reminded me in places of The Records, a great power pop band from the late 70s who my band supported a few times back in the day, especially the lead vocal. More power than pop though, but that’s good for me." - Steve Crancher, Author
